Nash equilibrium- This is like a compromise. In this both people benefit the same amount.
Game theory- In this you try to figure out an opponent’s strategy. In this you are trying to only benefit yourself.
Prisoner dilemma- This is an example of plea bargaining. It would benefit both the most is they agreed with each other.
Describe your experience and thoughts after you have played the game a few times.(50 words)
I feel like this online game was a lot like how we reacted when we played the game as a class. In the online game as long as you would keep agreeing to cooperate with the computer it would continue to cooperate with you, but as soon as you started to compete with it, it would compete against you until you decided to cooperate with it again.
Give an example of Game Theory/prisoner dilemma:
In history: Cuban Missile Crisis
In Government: Government negotiating trades with other countries
In economics: Negotiating Oil
related to sociology: making a decision that can affect the others around you
related to psychology: any emotional decision
In your everyday life: Deciding what to eat for supper
Tell me your thoughts on the oil pricing activity and the other group activities we did in class.
I really enjoyed this unit. All the activities we did were a lot of fun to play. I really enjoyed playing the oil pricing game in class.
On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being great rate the activities we have done in class with the unit. What are some things that can be done to improve the overall unit?
I rate this unit as a 10 and I don’t think you should
change anything to make it better.
